Welcome to Reedy Kids! We’re looking forward to a terrific year of fun and learning as we get to know each other and study the Bible together in lots of interesting ways. Each week we make every effort not only to study the Bible story, but also to relate it to real-life applications that the children can put to practical use in their journey with Jesus.

At Reedy Kids we desire your children to grow up knowing Jesus. Reedy Kids is about helping children to the realization that a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is a dynamic adventure in which they come to know God as a person, become the person God intended for them to be, and begin to pursue their place in God's Kingdom plan.

When children arrive, they register at the ‘Reedy Kids' registration table prior to participation in any of our programs. On the first day, a registration form needs to be filled in for each new child. Thereafter, your child will be recorded on the attendance register. On Sundays all children remain in the service until they are dismissed to their individual programs. On Sundays, your child in school age (Gr 1-Gr 6) will be released into our main court yard area. For our crèche and Preps you are required to collect your child as soon as the service is over, as not only do leaders need to pack up, but children get anxious when all the others have gone and they are still waiting. In all of our other programs parents are required to sign children out before they are released.

During programs leaders enforce the safety net as a means of behavioural management. The safety net is there to ensure that everybody feels safe in the environment and requires children to take responsibility for their behaviour and the consequence that result. If children break the safety net, they will be given opportunities to be reinstated in the class. However, if they are repeatedly misbehaving, we will contact the parents and discuss management options.
Creche (up to 3 years of age)
In order for our creche to run as smoothly and safely as possible we have aimed to place all crèche parents on our crèche roster for two consecutive weeks, either two or three times a year to share in the minding of our babies. This group meets in the first half of the small activities hall (SAH). Access is through the external door, off courtyard, then through the playground gate.

Preps (3 years of age and up)
This group meets in the second half of the small activities hall (SAH). Access is through the external door, off courtyard, then through the playground gate. When your child turns 3 they are invited to move up into the Preps programme. This may happen on their 3rd birthday or at a time agreeable to you, the Children’s Ministry Co-ordinator and the teacher of the Preps. As we look forward to the year ahead, we thank God for each little miracle that will be in our care and we thank you for this opportunity to partner with you in bringing the message of Jesus to these little ones.

New Born Babies

We are excited to offer the Parent Room at the back of our main auditorium. This room is designed for parents of new born babies. It is equipped with inbuilt speakers allowing for parents to join in the service whilst caring for their babies. We have provided a comfortable environment with changing and feeding facilities as well as toys for the little ones.

Playgroup
