January 28 – Covid and Unity

Hi there. Thanks again for joining with us in united prayer. For nearly two years COVID has wreaked havoc around the world. Deaths and illnesses, fear and anxiety, loss of employment and cut off from loved ones have all resulted from COVID and the restrictions. It is still with us and likely to stay for a while to come. Divisions are evident within communities, churches, and families. Paul has a word for all of us in 1 Corinthians: “so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it” (1 Corinthians 12:25-26 NIV). Let’s pray for those who have lost employment, those who have been affected mentally, and those in other states who are not able to worship with their brothers and sisters in Christ. Pray for unity. Let’s also pray for the health workers, police, and government leaders.
